What do Tutankhamun, the Maasai, and Adam Lambert have in common?

A set of tapers, tools used to stretch a piercing.

TIL, a taper insertion pin, or simply called a taper, is a tool used to enlarge holes for body modification purposes. It is a long metal rod, conical in shape, gradually increasing in diameter from one end to the other.

Tapers are usually used for expanding piercings in order to accommodate larger plugs. Tapers are not meant to be worn as jewellery, and are typically used for assisting in the placement of rings or plugs.

So what do Tutankhamun, the Maasai, and Adam Lambert have in common?


They all have stretched ear lobes.
